What an exciting spring time it is for the Cowichan Lake Trail Blazer Society and all our members. We have a whole lot of great news to share, but first and foremost we invite you all to join our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday. Everyone interested in the club and our activities is invite to join us for an evening of updates and fun conversations. And of course, we will also detail our plans and are available for questions. AGM details
We meet at 6pm at Jake’s at the lake. Everyone is welcome to join and meet us to chat about biking, hiking, and the CLTBS. During our meeting we discuss all following topics:
- Welcome and introduction
- 2025 review about trails and activities
- 2025 financial review
- 2026 membership
- Board member nominations and election
- Discussion of upcoming events and activities
- Open questions and answers segment
- Closing and continuation in a regular board meeting
Evening group rides
The riding season is starting and our group rides are back. Our director and newly certified mountain bike guide Myles Blaser is inviting all members to join him for exploratory and fun group rides in our Fairservice Fun network. Dates are already set, exact time and meeting point are to be determined and will be posted on our upcoming events page.
Youth mountain bike session
Following on our group rides we are also offering two youth group rides. These rides are longer than the group rides, exclusive for youth riders, and include some tech tips and tricks. Just like the group rides – dates are already set, exact time and meeting point are to be determined and will be posted on our upcoming events page.
Trail build and upcoming events
Last but not least, we are in the process of getting further trail development plans assessed and hopefully approved. That will unlock a lot of potential and therefore also work on necessary trail building days. Our first focus however will be to prepare our network for the upcoming Vancouver Island Trail Running Series. Following the great success of the event in 2025, it is happening again in Fairservice Fun on the 9th of May. That is incredibly soon and we need your help.
