Thanks to the support from Mosaic Forest Management and a number of volunteers, we can offer you firewood for the winter. We know it is just getting hotter and the colder seasons seem like a long time away, but .. winter is coming and we can help you be prepared.

To get a load of firewood, all you need to do is drop by the site location with a chainsaw and a vehicle. Cut it as you like, load it up, and donate 50 CAD to the CLTBS.

We will use the proceeds for further trail building, maintenance, and other activities for the Fairservice Fun and Christopher Rock trail networks and the Cowichan Lake Trail Blazers Society.

Further details:

  • Approximately four staged sets of approximately 20 cords each, predominantly fir with some maple are available.
  • First come, first serve basis.
  • 50 CAD per truckload, equivalent to approximately 1/2 cord
  • CLTBS volunteers on site to issue permit and handle payment. Cash only.
  • Site is Directly above The Slopes subdivision.
  • Access via Forest Road (the road leading to the Meade Creek Recycling Center). Directional signage will be posted.

  • Check back here for confirmation since fire rating has to stay below 4 to allow operation.  Final determination is available Friday before each weekend.
